We are a grassroots community of Ohio citizens supporting proper and responsible labeling of food containing genetically modified organisms – GMOs
We stand on the truth that foreign genes that are artificially spliced into our natural foods are harmful to our loved ones, all living creatures, the environment and our future generations. With dedication to this truth, we are fundamentally opposed to ingesting ‘foods’ that have been unnaturally altered with human and animal genes, pesticides, bacteria and viruses. This issue profoundly affects all people. Accurate knowledge of the food we eat, and the freedom to eat foods of natural origin, are innate human rights.
With this founding principle, we are taking action to mandate the clear and forthright labeling of all foods and food ingredients that have been genetically manipulated. We need to Label the Truth!
Clear labeling should have been done over two decades ago, along with responsible oversight. Instead, the FDA and our public officials have betrayed the public trust under pressure from corporate interests. This is allowing farms across the United States and worldwide to be cross-contaminated by unnatural and uncontrollable genes. Ohio citizens are taking action to protect our loved ones.
What Is Our Goal?
Our goal is to give Ohio citizens the right to vote on this critical issue by way of a Constitutional Amendment on the Ohio Ballot for 2016.
This is truly GOVERNMENT BY THE PEOPLE. We are dedicated to gathering 600,000 signatures to get this on the ballot, so Ohio citizens have a voice and a vote.
Label the Truth Ohio is a 501 (C) 4 non-profit organization. We are grateful for donations of time, energy, money and leadership to accomplish this tremendous step for health freedom and for protecting this intimate and basic human right.

For example if a cotton seed plant has its DNA modified to protect it from hash growing climates, that it has been modified at the DNA level and is a Genetically Modified Organism. These GMO’s are placed into the DNA of plants like corn, soy and cotton. They then help the plants fight off bugs and other potential risks, and in turn ensure a stable yield for farmers.
That’s great for farmers, but not so much for the rest of us. GMO based food has been proven to cause cancer in rats and other animals in numerous studies. There is really no governance on labeling or on usage. The net result is that the very food we eat could be doing us significant harm.
90% of all foods now contain some or one GMO component. Everything from wheat, to milk to bacon, are affected, as base crops like soy, corn and wheat are used in almost every processed food.This situation must be rectified. The only way it can happen is by knowledge and education.
